Webhooks are automated HTTP callbacks that send data from HappierLeads to your specified endpoint whenever a visitor is identified. Think of them as push notifications for your systems - instead of constantly checking for new data, we send it to you instantly as it happens.

Before setting up webhooks, make sure you have:

Webhooks are configured through the Automations section of your HappierLeads dashboard.

Configure your automation to trigger a webhook when leads are identified.

You can set filters to control which leads trigger the webhook. This helps reduce noise and ensures you only receive data that matters.

 Set filters to only trigger webhooks for enterprise companies (1000+ employees) with a hot lead score who visited your pricing page.

Step 4: Add Authentication Headers (Optional)

For added security, you can include custom HTTP headers with your webhook requests. This is useful for authentication tokens, API keys, or custom identification.

Before activating your webhook, it's important to test that your endpoint is receiving data correctly.

 Your endpoint should return a 200 status code to indicate successful receipt.

Once you've tested your webhook and confirmed it's working, activate it to start receiving live data.

Your webhook is now live! HappierLeads will begin sending visitor data to your endpoint as soon as new leads are identified.

When a visitor is identified, HappierLeads sends a POST request to your webhook URL with the following JSON payload structure:

 Not all fields will be present for every lead. Fields are only included when data is available.

Follow these recommendations to ensure reliable webhook delivery:

HappierLeads provides delivery logs so you can monitor the health of your webhook integration.

When webhook delivery fails (non-200 response or timeout), HappierLeads automatically retries with exponential backoff:

After 5 failed attempts, the webhook delivery is marked as permanently failed. You can manually retry from the webhook logs if needed.
