You don't have to take our word for what the tracking pixel does. This guide shows free, independent ways to check it: get an email whenever the pixel file changes, scan the file yourself, and check it against malware scanners and Google Safe Browsing.

 Sucuri SiteCheck finds no malware and no blacklisting, Google Safe Browsing finds no unsafe content, urlscan.io shows the file only talks to rest.happierleads.com over HTTPS and sets no cookies, and the open-source scanners ClamAV and Retire.js find no malware and no vulnerable libraries. Steps 1–5 are manual checks in your browser; Step 6 runs the checks automatically from your own machine or server, as often as you like.

Each website has its own pixel file. Its address is the 

 of the pixel code you installed, and it ends with your website’s

 URL, with your clientId. The file includes your website’s settings, so another website’s file can differ from yours.

Step 2: Get an email when the file changes (GuardScript)

 is an independent service that downloads a JavaScript file on a schedule and emails you when it changes. Its free 

 plan covers one file, checked once a day, with email alerts and no credit card. Paid plans check every 5–10 minutes.

GuardScript monitors the file itself, so you don’t need to scan your whole website. It compares the file’s fingerprint (hash) on every check and emails you a report of what changed.

A change does not mean something is wrong. The file changes when:

Between those events the file stays exactly the same, so you will not get alerts for nothing. If you get an alert you can’t explain, send us the date of the alert and we will tell you what changed.

Step 3: Scan the pixel yourself (urlscan.io)

 is a free, independent scanner. It loads a URL in its own browser and records every request, domain and file hash.

Scanning the pixel URL shows the file itself. To see what it does on a real page, scan your own website’s address the same way: the 

 tab then lists every domain your page contacts, and the Happierleads ones should all end in

Step 4: Check it for malware (Sucuri SiteCheck)

 is a free malware and blacklist scanner from the website-security company Sucuri.

 (“Our scanner didn’t detect any malware”), 

. It also shows the file is served over Cloudflare’s network.

Google Safe Browsing is the list Chrome, Firefox and Safari use to warn people about dangerous sites. Google lets anyone look up a URL in its

Step 6: Check it automatically (for developers, free and open source)

To re-check the pixel from your own machine or server at any time, without signing up anywhere, use our free 

. It downloads your pixel file and checks three things with open-source tools only:

Nothing is sent anywhere: the file is checked on your own machine. You need Node.js 20.19 or newer and ClamAV:

 then says whether the file is different. The exit code is 0 when everything passes, 1 when the file changed or malware or a vulnerable library was found, and 2 when the check could not run — so you can schedule it with cron or in your CI and get alerted on anything but 0. The

SRI (an integrity="sha256-…" attribute on the script tag) makes the browser refuse the file if it changes. It does not suit the pixel: every pixel update, and every change to your own website settings, would make browsers block the pixel until you update the hash, and visitors would stop being identified. Use the automatic check above instead — it tells you about a change without breaking tracking.
