Happierleads supports two types of email variation — manual spintax and AI-powered spintax — to help you send more natural, personalised outreach at scale. Varied emails improve deliverability and increase reply rates.

Manual spintax lets you define multiple variations of a word, phrase, or sentence inside your template. The system randomly picks one option per recipient when the email is sent.

Wrap your options in double square brackets and separate them with a pipe character:

are only for variables such as the first name — spintax and variables are two different things.

You can use spintax next to variables and throughout the subject line and body. Use the Preview button to check the variations.

AI Spintax uses artificial intelligence to automatically rewrite your email for each recipient. There are five levels, ranging from minimal tweaks to full personalisation.

LinkedIn connection note templates use the same syntax:

[[Hi|Hey|Hello]] {first_name}, I saw your profile and wanted to connect.
